International Mobility Counselling in the Crafts Sector
Welcome to Mobilint
“MOBILINT” (“Mobility International”) is a pilot project designed to develop a counselling concept for the promotion of cross-border mobility in the crafts sector. Financed by the EU training programme Leonardo da Vinci II, it has been developed jointly by nine partners from seven different EU countries (project duration: 1.10.2004 – 30.09.2006).
The starting point for the project was the idea to complement of the counselling structures in the partner countries by the dimension of “international mobility counselling” for small- and medium-sized handicraft enterprises (SME). To achieve that aim, the specific counselling situation in the partner countries was examined—the results of the analysis can be found in the adjacent box—and additional counselling needs, which MOBILINT, wants to meet were pinpointed.
On an international level, MOBILINT wants to contribute to the improvement of the individual skills and abilities of those who participate in it as well as to the development of human resources in society in general. In a globalised economy, the crafts sector and its small- and medium-sized enterprises increasingly depend on tapping international competence. Counselling helps to develop such competence and, as a result, it also helps to maintain and enhance competitiveness, economic prosperity and social integration in a united Europe.
With such an objective in sight, three training modules with extensive material about the topic “Learning and Working in Europe” were developed in the scope of the project. Building on existing expertise, they furnish counsellors with additional qualifications for international mobility counselling in the crafts sector.
The training modules can be downloaded under Counsellor Login after registration and agreement to terms of use.
